These gals operate one of the most amazing rescues I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. Jessica is a dynamo, she does it all with a smile on her face and a heart of gold. She loves all her rescues and goes above and beyond to ensure they get a loving forever home. If you're looking for a new family member, call Girls of Dog Rescue!

I rarely give any reviews but I felt the need to because I was so impressed with Jessica from Girls of Dog Rescue, I was interested in a Cocker Spaniel I saw that needed a home and I had lost my Cavalier King Charles a few months ago and he looked so much like her. When I met him I almost started to cry because I felt like I was getting my dog back in a sense. He needed me and I needed him. I was very impressed the way Jessica handled the whole process . She didn't just say here you go... good luck! She wanted to know if I would be a good fit by asking me a lot of questions and making sure my home was suitable to have a dog and she was amazing at keeping in contact along the way to make sure the dog would have the best life possible. She is a woman with a Big Heart and loves to help these poor animals find a loving homes. I would definitely recommend this group because I know they care about the people and the dogs.

Girls of Dog Rescue was simply AMAZING ! Jessica was extremely professional. I saw the dog we were interested in and placed a call to the Rescue and in 5 minutes she returned my call. This was so appreciated ! She carefully explained that there was a process to the adoption - recommendations- applications to fill out - photos of the residences and more. I sincerely understood the importance of this process and appreciated that they have the animals best interests in mind. Jessica emailed all the forms to me and the process began. Once the application and all forms were sent back to her she set a time for a phone interview and we spoke for over 45 minutes. A rescue animal is not like getting your first puppy ....... I do not think that some people understand the complexity of rescue adoption and they simply expect to just do a met and greet and take the animal home ! NO that is not how it works. Do your homework ! Do you have enough time to devote to the daily needs of a dog? Is there someone in your household who is allergic? Doing your homework in advance will make your search easier and increase the chances that your new pet will be a happy addition to the family. Jessica is very passionate about her work and she expects cooperation from the people who want to adopt to abide by the rules of the adoption process. This is paramount and you must give her the respect she deserves for abiding by this ! Adopting a pet from a rescue is startlingly similar to adopting a human baby from an adoption agency. In both cases, the groups require a thorough screening process to ensure that the pet/baby is placed in a home where they will not only be cherished for the rest of their life but also receive the appropriate care and nurturing they need to thrive. If you've never worked with a pet rescue, you might be annoyed by some of the hurdles you'll have to jump over en route to adopting a pet. But there's one simple reason for all those hurdles: Rescues want to make sure their babies -- many of whom they've saved from illness, abuse and death -- are placed in permanent, loving homes where they will be spoiled and pampered for the rest of their lives. Although there's no way to determine for certain whether a potential adopter can provide the perfect home, rescues try hard -- which means they do a lot of work in screening their applicants. Many pets end up homeless through no fault of their own or of their previous family. Rather, a lack of affordable and pet-friendly housing tops the list of reasons pets are surrendered to shelters. This is why is it so important that any adopter have the financial means to take care of the animal they adopt ! AND they have to have a suitable place to live that suits the breed they are adopting. This is why she asks you about your ability to pay for future vet bills and if your home suits the animal you are adopting. Pets adopted from shelters and rescue groups typically cost less than pets purchased or even acquired for free. Once you add in the cost of vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, microchip, dewormer and other "extras" included in your adoption fee, you'll probably be surprised with the level of medical and behavioral care your new pet has received. While some rescue pets may have some behavioral or medical challenges, she can help you find the right fit for your lifestyle and family. Jessica provided advice on making our relationship with our rescue pet the best it could be for the rest of his life. It is very telling when I read some of the negative remarks about Jessica. It is simply a case of They did not get their way for an adoption .... Obviously they were not the proper fit for that adoption and as you read their stories it becomes more and more clear it is all about THEM and not about the Rescue Animal. Their definition of rude in essence is the realty that Jessica is responsible for the care and custody of each rescue and she does not have to Please Them or bow to their whims .... Jessica had to judge each family who applies on an individual basis , taking in all the FACTS from the application - interview- meet and greet - AND what your personal reputation is. IT IS ALL ABOUT the RESCUE ANIMAL AND By the way if you are not educated on animals why are you trying to adopt a Rescue who has been through a lot of negative things already in their life ? THAT IS RUDE and IGNORANT . The fees for the adoptions are so reasonable considering what has to take place to get them in a healthy position .... for anyone to say that it's about the money is simply ridiculous and I consider it projection - something they might do themselves and blame others. Our precious Santiago is a blessing to our family and we gladly donate to Girls of Dog Rescue and will continue to do so ! It is important for us to give back and help them place other animals in proper loving caring homes.

Adopted the most wonderful little girl with Girls of Dog rescue. She was surrendered to them matted l, skinny and uncared for. After 3 months she is so beautiful, fully potty trained and the most living little dog. Thank you for letting little Jesse rescue me.

We had a great experience with Girls of Dog Rescue. I loved that we were able to meet our new puppy and make sure he was a good fit with our other dog and that was really important to Jessica as well. The communication was great and you can tell they really care about making sure dogs go the right forever home!

Highly recommend this rescue. They really are and do such a good job with communication and transparency. Because of them, we have our new baby Jack. They knew we’d be the perfect match after providing our information and they were right. Please donate to this wonderful rescue if you can, they go above and beyond and it shows. Thank you, we love Jack 💛

I found my pup Noah AKA Parker while on Petfinder. The requirements were to have their dog be an inside dog, have another dog similar in size and live in Orange County. I live in LA County so I didn't get my hopes up. Since I live just at the border of the two counties, the rescue made an exception. The process was fairly quick and easy with an immediate response time. Fill out the forms, phone interviews and a virtual home inspection. This rescue has the pups best interest. They schedule all vet appointments and require the 4th DHPP shot which is optional for dogs. You have to foster the pup until they are fixed before you can adopt. They waited until our pup was done with unforseen surgeries and check ups before we were able to adopt. I think they did that so they can cover the medical bills. They made sure to ask if we have home owners insurance. They prefer you to have another dog so their dog has a companion. I don't agree with the other review alleging the rescue is somewhat racist. We are a interracial minority couple with names no one is able to pronounce on the first try. I hope you get a good experience like I did with Girls of Dog Rescue.
